Vacationing above the clouds…

In the summer months the land transforms into a fresh haven in the shadows of the beech forest. Perched on the edge of the mountain, the Pleiades Hotel, Pelion enjoys uninterrupted vistas over the green slopes and azure sea, only half-an-hour away from the area’s sandy and pebble beaches.

We offer a full itinerary of alternative activities for those who want to shy away from the typical summer vacation pursuits and enjoy the manifold sea and mountain attractions. Guests may choose to wander the various paths, hike or ride to nearby villages and monasteries or even sail in the Gulf of Pagasitikos and the Sporades islands.

The Pleiades Hotel, Pelion strikes an ideal balance for those to whom a calm and cool sojourn, combined with the enjoyable heat of the Greek beaches, appeals.

Experience to full benefits of a beautifully preserved natural environment by venturing in the depths of the beech forests and following historic and well-established trails, the Mountaineering Association has maintained. The adventurous visitor can hike to the various picks or follow the trails that link all the major picturesque villages such as Kissos, Tsagarada, Agios Lavrentious, Milies and others.

Experienced riders and beginners alike are welcome to enjoy a mounted stroll atop some of the calmest, most steadfast animals in the equine family. The Thessalic Horse is a local breed that enjoyed considerable renown throughout Greek history, from the ancient times to this day. Today it is considered an endangered species with fewer than 600 alive in Greece and Europe. They have distinctive Arabic characteristics, are no taller than 130-140cm and are particularly recognized for their tranquil and solid nature.

We are stalling a small herd for the exclusive use of hotel guests for the upcoming summer season. Carrots and apples provided!!
